A pair of silk underwear allegedly owned by Britain's Queen Elizabeth have been put up for sale on internet auction site eBay.

The 40-year-old undergarment is embroidered with the letter 'E'- which is thought to stand for 'Elizabeth' - along with a picture of a crown and it has already attracted bids of more than $4,800.

They are purportedly being sold by the estate of Baron Joseph 'Sepy' de Bicske Dobronyi, and it has been reported the bloomer-style underwear - which have not been confirmed as authentic by any official sources - were left on a private plane during the monarch's visit to Chile in 1968.

Princess Diana reportedly found out Prince Charles was going to propose to her through a conversation with Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The late royal married the heir to the British throne in 1981 but Diana's former lover Dr Hasnat Khan has claimed she first found out about Charles' plans to marry her, when his former girlfriend - and now wife - Camilla, told her.

He told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "Camilla came up to her and said, 'Charles is going to propose to you.

Britain's royal family will travel on separate boats for Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee Pageant down the River Thames on June 3.

The queen and Prince Philip will board the 64-meter-long Royal Barge - which will be styled in red and gold - as they embark on the seven-mile journey on London's River Thames on June 3 to mark her 60th year on the throne, and the royals are expected to use at least four vessels for the trip.

Prince Charles will lead a flotilla of 1,000 boats on the river from the newly-constructed Gloriana and Princess Anne is due to travel on board the No1 Boat Trinity House Vessel Service, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine - who was formerly known as Kate Middleton before the couple's nuptials last year - are expected to travel separately to Charles, whose 88ft boat will be presented to his mother as a present after the pageant.

An American business is claiming it can hire out Pippa Middleton for $140,000 a time even though Duchess Catherine's sister has nothing to do with the firm.

Celebrity Talent Promotions says Pippa - the sister of Britain's Duchess Catherine - is available for "corporate appearances, speaking engagements, endorsements and autograph signings" and has posted a picture of the 28-year-old beauty on its website.

Below the image it says: "We are a celebrity booking agency that also hires Pippa Middleton... as a keynote presenter for speaking engagements, trade shows, conventions and store grand openings."

It adds that, for a price, she can be booked for "event hosting, licensing deals, product endorsements, print advertising and television commercials".

The Diamond Jubilee pageant - celebrating the monarch's 60 year reign - took place over 90 minutes and took spectators on a trip "around the world", with 500 horses and 800 performers taking part.

At a tea party before the spectacular event - which was narrated by Angela Rippon and Alan Titchmarsh - the monarch tried on a pair of African bracelets made by tribes from Kenya, and Rose Kimanzi, who led the groups, revealed she was honored to present the gift.

Prince William is in line to inherit up to $16 million from his late mother Princess Diana's estate when he turns 30 next month.

The second in line to the British throne will become eligible to be awarded his share of money from the estate of his late mother, Princess Diana - who died in a car crash in 1997 - when he reaches the milestone age on June 21.

While William and his wife Catherine rent a cottage in Wales and have an apartment at Kensington Palace in London, royal insiders believe they may use the money to buy a country home close to William's father, Prince Charles', Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.

The royal couple attended the Our Greatest Team Rises Gala dinner at London's Royal Albert Hall and both looked stylish and sophisticated as they walked down the red carpet.

Prince William looked his usual dapper self in a black tuxedo while Duchess Catherine - also known as Kate Middleton - was stunning in a floor-length teal Jenny Packham dress. Her long brunette locks were put up in an elegant knotted bun while she wore her Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' sandals on her feet.

Britain's Duchess Catherine took her pet dog Lupo to cheer on husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry at a polo tournament in Ascot, Berkshire yesterday (13.05.12).

The 30-year-old royal presented the prizes at Cowarth Park Polo Club in Ascot, Berkshire, where the couple's cocker spaniel looked on as William and Harry narrowly won in their charity match for the Audi Quattro team against the Audi Ultra team.

A source said told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Lupo looked like he was having a great time and was getting lots of attention."
